本次分享将介绍川田稔的《日本陆军的轨迹》，讲述1931到1942年间日本陆军的变革以及对政治的影响。 在本书中，将满洲事变以后作为一个政治组织化了的陆军称之为昭和陆军。虽然以往也有山县有朋以及桂太郎，寺内正毅，田中义一等陆军领导人作为个人试图掌握政治权力的先例。但是陆军作为一个组织试图控制政权，乃是一个新的动向。
This session introduces Kawada Minoru's The Path of the Imperial Japanese Army, which tells how the Japanese Army changed between 1931 and 1942 and how it affected politics. The book calls the army after the Manchurian Incident, having become a political organisation, the "Shōwa Army". There had been earlier precedents of army leaders such as Yamagata Aritomo, Katsura Tarō, Terauchi Masatake and Tanaka Giichi trying as individuals to take political power. But the army trying, as an organisation, to control the government was a new development.
