This session gives a brief introduction to the Japanese writer Akutagawa Ryūnosuke, after which participants will read his short story The Nose together and discuss it. The schedule is as follows: Introductions (10–20 mins) Brief introduction to Akutagawa Ryūnosuke by the host (10–20 mins) Group reading of The Nose (30–40 mins) Discussion (30–40 mins) Reading and discussion can go hand in hand: after reading a section, we discuss that section.
