From the Singapore international debate contests of the 1990s, to debaters bringing their competition background into U Can U BiBi, and later to Rock & Roast, the way a person stands on stage and speaks to an audience has changed several times over thirty years. - Did audiences in the 1990s really believe that "presenting facts and reasoning things through" could solve problems? Does anyone still believe it? - Is debate actually useful as training in thinking?
