This session starts with two writers with a distinctly Wuhan flavour, Chi Li and Fang Fang, to share and discuss stories of Wuhan and Hubei. - Why is Hubei Province abbreviated as E? Why not Jing, Chu, Xiang or Han? - How did Wuhan develop? Where does the character of a city come from that was split into three by two rivers and then forced back together by a bridge? - Going back to the 1980s, how did Chinese realist literature develop? - What is your impression of Wuhan? And what was it twenty years ago?
